Hello and Happy August 1, wow can you believe it is August 1st already, where has this year gone. I am excited to be keeping up on this calendar project my niece is os going to love getting this for Christmas and that is one Christmas Gift i will not have to worry about. I made her one last year and I just ordered pictures from snapfish and added pictures and mailed it off to her. I also want to make one for my sister in law. I usually leave one picture place empty so they can added pictures too it also.
I used 12 x 12 crumb cake for the background. I took 12 x 12 old olive and real red and cut it down 1 /2 inch for the strip down the side, Then I did a 4 x 6 of each for a photo to be added and then I did a 4x4 real red matted it onto old olive and I can just add pictures.
I made the watermelons by punching circle punches in old olive and real red and then cut them in half layered them off just a little. then I punched small ovals from a handheld punch and added them as seeds. I stamp the month August ( this is from an older paper pumpkin stamp set, but we have the new project life stamp set that you can use.) I then punched using the duel banner punch.
